Looking into trailering my baby down to the event from Edmonton, Alberta Canada. I would be staying from the Tues/Wed until the following Monday. Been looking forward to this since the 30th that I missed out on.
Planning is well underway! We have four days of activities both at the Hotel and around the area for you to enjoy your Fiero with fellow Fiero owners. Thursday night, we will go for a cruise and end at an old fashioned diner. Friday, we will cruise down Route 66 to Pontiac, IL where we will tour the Pontiac Oakland Automobile Museum. Make sure to also get a picture of your Fiero under the famous Route 66 mural. Saturday is show day, make sure your car is shined up for the judges. See show cars in the show lot and inside the Poncho Perfection Magazine Hall of Fieros, where you can also see factory prototype and experimantal project Fieros. Saturday night, we have a great line up of speakers to discuss the history of the Fiero, including distinguished members of the original Fiero design, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Bring those questions you have always wanted to ask of the people who were there back in the day. Sunday morning, we will have awards after your free breakfast buffet.
Besides the great cars, the best part of attending an Anniversary Show is catching up with old Fiero friends and making some new ones. Everyday the hotel hosts a Happy Hour reception in the lobby area. The Embassy Suites offers many areas, both inside and out, to hang out and talk Fieros. There are many ongoing activities throughout the weekend, including Fiero memorabilia displays in the indoor exhibition area.
The Fiero 35th Anniversary Show will be fun for kids of all ages. The hotel has large rooms to accommodate families and an indoor pool. During the show, we encourage all kids present to pick up a kids ballot and vote for their favorite Fieros. We will have a Fiero model contest, so a great way to get ready for the 35th would be to put together a Fiero model.
More to be announced! Pre-registration, merchandise, and hotel info will soon be available! Stay tuned!
Basic Registration will include: Entry for the Show for one Fiero One OEM quality Front Fascia Badge with show logo One Laser Cut Commemorative Stainless Steel Key Chain Fob

Room registration made! I'm wondering when the t-shirts, fascia badges, and keychain fobs will be available for ordering. Any chance it will be in time to order for Christmas?

Hi gldkarma! The merchandise will be orderable, we dont have a release date yet, but an important note is the merchandise will be for pick-up at the show, not shipped.
Oh darn. I had hoped to get some, at least my shirt, ahead of time as I need to hem it to wear it at the show. So another question--what if we register and order stuff and then can't make it? One of our cars (the Hudson, not the Fiero!) may need a new engine and that could affect our ability to make the trip to both International meets. If I would need to cancel, and I'm not sure when I'll know, would there be any way to add postage to my order and get it?

It wouldn't be available before the show, but we will be able to accept payment and ship the T shirts after the show, which would be for an added shipping cost. Refunds are available, but end at 30 days before the event. I hope that answers the question.

If you've got a Fiero Go Kart, August 2018 is your chance to show it off! We will have a show class for Fiero Go Karts at the Fiero 35th Anniversary Celebration!
Everyone loves SWAG (Stuff We All Get). If you were wondering what you can get out of the Black Top Racing Presents the Fiero 35th Anniversary Celebration it starts with registration, just for registering you’re going to get the 35th anniversary OEM style nose badge and laser cut stainless steel key fob. That alone makes the registration worth the price!
But wait! There’s more! When you stop by show registration you’ll get your goody bag. Anyone who registers at the host hotel will get a FREE breakfast buffet! This isn’t the typical hotel day old donuts. This is a HUGE buffet with eggs, meat, potatoes, fruit, omelets made to order and more! The only thing that could possibly be better than a free breakfast would be the FREE evening reception with free drinks and appetizers. (Sorry alcohol served only to those of legal age)
Those who participate In Friday’s Fieros on Route 66 Cruise will get a free static cling window sticker that declares “I drove my Fiero on Route 66”. Once we arrive in Pontiac Illinois the city of Pontiac will have another goody bag for you. Among other things it will include a badge that entitles you to discounts in many of the local shops and eateries. Once in Pontiac you’ll no doubt want to visit the many FREE museums!
There will no doubt be many more goodies that we can talk about as we get closer to show time!
(Like the amazing stories and historical info you will hear from distinguished speakers who worked on and with the Fiero in the early days...) at our presentation Saturday evening after the show!
One of the big reasons that the Fiero 35th Anniversary Celebration is being held in East Peoria is for the huge indoor space available. The Poncho Perfection Hall of Fieros will be even bigger than it was at the 30th anniversary show.
There are also fewer regulations. You don’t have to worry about how much gas is in the tank nor, will it have to be pushed in. The only exception is for cars running racing gas as their exhaust may set off the fire alarms. All cars will need a plastic sheet to catch any wayward drips and that will be supplied as part of your registration fee. As with all show cars AACA rules mandate a fire extinguisher.
You should get your registration in early as even though we have a lot of space it is filling up fast! Don’t wait! Don’t be disappointed!
The Official Fiero 35th Event Shirt Design is in, and its AWESOME!

You can order them with your online vehicle/event registration - or separately (through the same site/interface). Shirts will be available at the event, so make plans to pick up your orders there! Get your merchandise and register your Fiero: www.fiero35th.com
Thank you to all of those who volunteered to aid us with the outdoor parking at the 35th Anniversary of the Pontiac Fiero event. We're now looking to borrow you (and/or possibly your spouse/significant other) to aid us with a job in the luxurious air-conditioned indoor facility - show registration!
While many of our participants will be pre-registered before they arrive in East Peoria, our registration team of Mary Bartemeyer, John Holmes and Paul Vargyas need a team of good volunteers to register additional participants and distribute materials to those who signed up in advance. Working in 2 hour shifts, we hope to utilize the talents of Fiero owners and their friends to help us facilitate this important portion of the show experience.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in doing, we'd love to hear from you! If it doesn't turn your gears, there will be other opportunities to volunteer. Stay tuned!
If you would like to volunteer to help at this historic event in any way, please email: 35thVolunteers@midwestfieroclubs.com
Also don't forget to register your Fiero for the show! www.fiero35th.com
Got a Fiero model kit you built? A rare collectible Fiero toy, or a diorama with a Fiero garage? Have we got a deal for you! We will be having a Model Car Concours contest at the 35th Anniversary of the Introduction of the Pontiac Fiero event taking place August 8-12, 2018. Classes will include Stock for kits built mostly stock, Modified for kits built with substantial modifications from stock, Diorama for any display containing a Fiero or Fiero parts, Promotional/Collectible for preassembled Fiero toys (judged on condition, presentation and completeness) and Scratchbuilt for Fiero models built without kit parts or drastically modified kits or toys. Each class will be divided into Junior (under age 16) and Senior (age 16 years and older).
Driving your Fiero to the 35th Anniversary event and have a little extra room? Bring along a model car entry. Not driving a Fiero to the 35th but want to compete in a Concours anyway? Definitely bring along a model car entry. To pre-register, email 35thmodels@midwestfieroclubs.com with your interest, or you can register when you arrive at the event. Pre-registration is not required. It just helps the organizers plan the event. Complete Model Car Concours Rules will be available soon at www.Fiero35th.com. There’s still time to dust off that old toy, finally built that kit, or build that diorama you’ve been planning to for years.
In addition to rare Fiero memorabilia and showroom stock Fieros, there will also be a number of Fiero prototypes and factory experimental projects on display in the Poncho Perfection Hall of Fieros at the 35th Anniversary Celebration.
Introducing one of these: The 1988 Fiero Pilot Car with 1990 dash mock-up and power steering.
This car is #25 of the 31 Pilot Build MY1988 built in the second week of March 1987. It has factory EHPS. The 16,128 miles were accumulated at Milford Proving Grounds. The car was also a test car for the proposed dash and instrument cluster for the MY1990. It is claimed that the car remained at Milford for further development of the instrument cluster for use in the production 1993 Firebird. In 1991, the engineer responsible for the car drove the car home regularly and suddenly passed away. His parents sold the car after storage all these years. The deceased engineer's brother confirmed the story about the cars time at Milford as he still works there and is part of the team that is building some of GM's current high performance line. There are engineering stickers all over this car including the all important "non-compliance" DOT emissions and safety waiver stuck on the back of the decklid.
