Honestly, I hope Bill overcomes whatever in his personal life was plaguing him. There has to be more to it than just people like me on PFF. Honestly, I liked Bill up until a few weeks ago when him and Phranc were getting into it again, and I said they should go into time out, and put a smiley next to it. He then went off on me over PM about it and kept going. I sincerely hope that Bill gets his personal issues resolved and comes back here someday. Good luck to you Bill, no matter what the outcome.
Wow. Close to 8 years here and Bill has been banned. He asked for it and I guess he got it. I'll miss him.
What's to miss? A guy that deliberately provoked people for his own amusement, but then whined that he was being picked on when those people responded in kind?
Besides, he'll probably be back when his attention-whore side starts to feel neglected. Wonder if he'll ask Cliff to be reinstated or if he'll sneak back in under a different name.

I always had fun with Bill. Not everybody is provoked. You have to kinda agree to be provoked.

I agree with that. But like I said, Bill's constant crying about being picked on was just irritating, since he was the one who usually instigated it. It always seemed Bill thought he could say whatever he wanted, and flame whoever he wanted, and anybody who took exception to it were just trolls or stalkers. Pretty much every thread he posted in followed this pattern.

I've gotten a couple emails from him as well, and they're not nice either. I don't get it, if you wanted banned from here, why keep coming back and reading the posts?
have to say, the rest of the forum has certainly been moving along smoothly since his departure. He had a lot of knowledge to share when he was not on the attack or defense, which ever it was

Because he only asked to be banned as part of one of his standard tantrums, and now is missing the attention he got by stirring up people here.

Getting older makes that even keel harder to achieve, up to a point. Then life either steadies out well enough or ceases to matter at all.

bill and i exchanged 2 or 3 PMS after he quit posting. they were typical of his state of mind at the time, agitated and somewhat adversarial. i was never really clear about what was on his mind, though i did try to understand. i've wondered what happened to him, and hope he's ok.
