hello, well seems im getting out of the whole fiero thing, i bought an 04 srt-4 (loving it!) my fiance and i set a date to get married soon, and i need the money to start our family. price after description before pics. down, clean tital car located in Bowling Green KY 42103
this is a 1988 pontiac fiero formula silver 3.4v6 auto only 262 1988 silver formulas ever made!! this is sold AS IS! 91k miles
this car will drive you home! this really is a one of a kind! please give her a good home!
Interior: seats are clean and not wornout, driver seat has 2 small tears, that ive mended together, headliner is non saging VERY mint! carpet is clean, some stains under the seats from coke spilling or whatever (not from me) but there minor, dash is beautifull, center console is slightly warped, only warping tho. comes with fiero store floor mats/console tray/ new shift boot. driver mat is stained, cleaned but is dis colored slightly.. 9/10
Exterior: paint is all original, and 90% flawless! there is one panel thats slightly faded (pic below), the rear bumper is cracked slightly above left tail pape (bastard rearended me in his blazer....tow hook cracked bumper) less than 5mph impact.), and minor paint spiderwebbing on bumper cover. all glass and lenses are intact and not broken/cracked, the front windshield has seen 20+ years of wiperblades... but NO deep scratches from idiots not replacing the rubber!!. all emblems are intact and flawless, car has many details, fiero center caps on stock wheels, fiero licence plate screw covers, fiero stickers on door handels (looks stock), fiero store side scoop(mabey) dealer pinstriping from 1989. 9/10
Engine, consists of.. 3400 short block, brand new alluminm oil pan, weindage tray, roller rockers/cam, from an 04 olds alero, heads from a 95 3.4 camaro, intakes are fiero 2.8, it has dohc pistons. 1.6 rockers, ported /wrapped E mans (fiero), 95 camaro injectors. includes an MSD 6A box thats hooked up and neatly mounted in trunk., there is an issue tho... the eng makes noise, its done it from day one about 10,000 miles ago, i dont know if its a broken E man gasket, or piston slap, ive had it checked over by numorus! ase master techs, no one knows.. it seems to be more like an E man gasket to me... but i will not be taking time to fix this issue., it has not gotten any louder or quieter in the 10,000 miles, ive driven it back in forth from KY to MO frequently, drove it hard, drove it soft, what ever it is... as far as im concerned its just an anoyance, but no threat.(this is the whole reason im asking a full 5 grand less than i want out of it., i have over 6k wrapped up in the eng alone.., oh and it has a brand new r134 AC system, compressor and all, blows cold!! but needs charged, i didnt carge it after the eng install, the system is about 1 year old. 5/10 if your picky then consider replacing the engine before you buy it. it would make a PERFECT project! buts its still a great dailer driver as is!
Trans: nothing much to say, always serviced on time, never skipped a beat, shifts GREAT! doesnt leak. 10/10
Suspension: all stock un touched, no issues out of it. 7/10
Tires: front 215-60-15, rear 225-60-15 front are 9/10 tread, rears are 5.8/10 tread all falken 512's perfectly balanced (by myself) no dipping/cupping/broken belts, there about 6 months old, rears are worn like all fieros ware rears. 6.9/10
Brakes: i have replaced all 4 calipers (1.5 years)($$$$) 4 rotors (8 months), but pads need changing still. not desperat, but withen 5000 miles or so. 6/10
Glass and lights: all good 9/10
Electronics: everything works! 10/10
Everyday driveability: i drive it everyday, hit the highway ALL the time! no issues at all! 10/10
MPG 16-18 -22-25
Rust: there are like 2 or 3 nickel sized spots under the rear carpet, they have been taken care of and sealed off., the frame is spotless! cradle is spotless! VERY rust free! 9.9/10
Handeling/Braking/Acceleration: handels very well for stock suspension, stops quite well for worn pads!, i would guess 0-60 in 6.4 seconds and a 1/4 mile in 15.4 or better, top speed is 122 (only 1 time) 10/10
ask me MANY questions!! phone number is 1-270-303-0293, email me at chrysler318@hotmail.com, or shoor me a PM, or reply to this thread! i will be checking this thread/email/phone all day on the hour everyday till its gone!

People, don't let this car go to someone who doesn't love Fieros. If I wasn't so dirt poor right now I'd buy it. It's a beautiful car and the man needs the money for his family. Come on!
Bumpity bump!

I agree; you have one beautiful car. Unfortunately, I think the crowd that is interested in owning a fiero is getting smaller and (I hope I'm wrong) but most of them are here. That means they already have at least one fiero and limited funds to buy any more. i have 2 cars for sale now, so i'm in the same boat as you. one is an 88 Fornula T-Top. As far as "most people" are concerned, the prices of used econo-cars are leading them to not even consider a fiero. Why buy a 20+ year old fiero for $5000 when you can buy a 2003 something-or-other for the same money ? i think you're priced in the right place (regardless of your specific car), but fieros are just slow movers.
i know the market is down... it makes me sick to let this go for less than 6k, half of that makes me puke everytime i think about it.. barf.... mabey if somone buys it then it wont hurt as much

If I could take out a loan right now I'd buy it from you, seriously. I'm in debt for so many things right now though I can't. Don't lower your price any further, seriously.

hey piney, i was indebt also, i owed 3k to my fiance's dad, 2k on a loan i had to take out ot finish the fieros engine, and i owed the state of IL 1k for back taxxes, when i bought my srt-4, i got a killer deal on it, 10k, i took a loan out for 16.5k and i bought the car + paid off in full all of my debts! the car payment is huge, like 300/mo...but that is 17k + i wiped out all of my debts... but i screwed myself in the long run... we planned the wedding like a week before i bought this car... no i dont even have $1 to my name for the wedding.... she wants a nice wedding too... no to mention the damn ring.. im fairly screwed untill i sell the fiero.
btw, i washed/waxxed/vacumed and took all of my personal belongings out of the fiero today, sure was fun to drive again it wants to be test driven! lol
Oh man, March 1st I have to be in Louisville with my truck and trailer to help a daughter move. Except that my wife would kill me... Maybe I could through a tarp over it and she wouldn't notice it on the trailer, ya think? LOL

You've got loads of an engine in bits so is the car actually running or not?
What's with the paint fade or whatever with the rear clip, is looks to me like there's a bit of overspray or something so has it been resprayed or something?
does the a/c work ?
I might be interested but it may be a few weeks before I can move on it, gotta do my taxes first ! ------------------ Dave
Engine running.. yes and no... it is a great daily driver, starts up everytime, drives GREAT, a few weekends ago i drove it 1700 miles, never skipped a beat! NEVER!, when i say no i mean,... it has a noise (and this is the ENTIRE reason im only asking 3.2k and not the 10k+ i feel its worth, i dont know what the noise is.. its either a broken ehaust man gasket (rear of corse) or its piston slap (i doubt) but either way, i was told by several ase master techs that its nothing to worry about.. its just annoying., but its been there from the very first crank up on the new 3400. and has been there for the past 15-20 thousand miles, it had proper break in, oil has been changed 4 times since, has no oil/coolant leaks at all whatsoever, if that noise was something bad then 3,600 rpms for 15 hours stright on the highway shurly would have ended it ... but it didnt!, and ive taken in on several 700 mile trips since the new eng., at least 4 that i cant think of. so YES it does run and will drive you anywhere you need to go, like i said, come test drive it, other than the annoying noise.. its flawless.
Paint, the car has never been repainted, it was owned by an ol guy before me, always garaged, ive asked myself from the day i got it why is that piller the only one fadded? it really defies all logic. and it looks worse in the pics than in person, you wouldent believe how many people have commented on the paint. (good not bad lol) so i dont have a clue at all why its like that..
A/C yes it works!! it is a completly brand new system put on last summer, new compressor/dryer/condencer the entire works! it blows very cold!, but i have not recharged since the build (its been cold) but it does work great!, i used it for about 4 months when the 2.8 went down. it worked great everytime i needed it.
and again, talk rick into comming and driving/looking at it for you. lol

Man- I would love to try to do something on this but I'm in central MI and that's just too far- flying down would cost $ and then I'd be worried about the costs involved if I were to break down on the way back home. I don't have the $ to be covered for all of it! If only you were closer...
